Snack Shack Instructions
Preparation
- There should always be 2 people working in the snack shack. At Craven, one of for the Scoreboard and one for concessions, at Spaulding, both are for concessions.
- There should be no more than 4 people inside the shack at any given time.
- Nobody under 14 should be allowed in the snack shack.
- Gloves should always be worn when handling raw food.
- When you first open the shack - get the hot dog machine and nacho warmer going first
- Hot Dog Machine - add 1 gallon of water, and then turn it on. Use the spigot outside the snack shack to fill a gallon jug for water.
- Nacho Warmer, just flip the switch in the back to on (it can be set to either the I or II position)
- We are requesting that everyone pay with Cash or Venmo. (For Venmo there is a QR code they can scan, and 1983 is the confirmation number if asked)
- We do not accept bills larger than $20.
- Grab an envelope, and then count the cash (ignore coins) in the cash drawer.
- On the envelope, please complete all of the fields on the envelope:
- Open all windows - At Craven, take the cross bar off, and then lift the heavy windows up high. The cross bar will be used to secure the windows up high. This is heavy and can require two people as well as the step stool. At Spaulding, just unlock them from the outside, and roll them up.
- Take out as much of each type of food and put it on the serving windows (at Spaulding two windows can be used to serve customers - the one over the sink should not be used)
- Put the ketchup, mustard, relish, and napkins on the outside shelf. (or a serving shelf at Spaulding)
- At Craven, hang the white chains between the shack and the backstop.
- Once the cooked food is ready make an announcement that they are now available for sale.
- If any uniformed public safety, uniformed military personnel or obvious veteran show up at the snack shack, offer them a hot dog, bag of chips and a drink of their choice at no cost with our thanks (limit 1 per day per person).
- In the last inning, if there are any remaining hotdogs, announce that they are on sale for $2 each.
